First one taken in my garden I believe is Garden Carpet?




And this is the one I had trouble with last week that kept hanging on the undersides of nettles so I couldn't get a decent photo

Confirmed as Mother Of Pearl?

I noticed a couple of Mother-of- Pearls in my garden this afternoon- one briefly entering the house. It's a fairly common species in my garden but there are no nettles in my or as far as I can see adjacent gardens- wonder whether they might be using an alternative food plant, not that I've seen others mentioned in the moth books.

I've got a large golden Hop in the back garden + some of the leaves do get chewed up, so that might provide the answer. Thanks!
