1 is a Common/Lesser Common Rustic I think
2 is a Dark Arches
3 is a July Highflyer
4 is a Small Magpie

Thanks again, Adam. Every time I put the trap out I get new species and, despite having to keep asking you what some of them are, () I do manage to identify a few myself. Also caught Peppered Moth, Barred Straw and Clouded Border. Thanks to WAB though I'm gradually beginning to be able to identify more myself - believe it or not!

I wonder if your first is Apamea monoglypha f. aethiops (Dark Arches?). Whatever it is, it appears to be a clone of one I found on this excellent site:
