| | | Unusual Burnet Moth I found this Burnet moth earlier in the week and don't recall seeing one like this before. The spots seemed to have merged. Is it a 5 or 6 spot Burnet?

Apparently the spots are more likely to be merged in the Five-spot than the Narrow-bordered Five-spot (although not often as extreme as this), and I think that this moth is likely to be a Five-spot Burnet, but these two species are very tricky to reliably separate.
