I know pug's can be tricky but this one's had me scratching my head at 7:30am. 
It was in last night's trapping.
Kinda thinking it's either a Wormwood or a Currant.
It flew off before I measured it, sorry!

It's a bit early for Wormwood Pug. (Having said that, many species are early this year.)

Hi Cordaline,
I'd agree with Sarah...the lack of discal spot, general browny colour, and the little wavy white line towards the outside of the forewings are good field features.
