| | | Identifying a moth
Can anyone help? I saw a moth whilst staying in Thetford Forest Norfolk. Body length almost 2 inches. A mottled stone colour and strangest antenna, red in colour and looked like TV aerials! Can anyone suggest what it might be? |

Hi Bailey and welcome to WAB 
Without a photograph, it's fairly hard to suggest what your moth could have been.
There are numerous species that are mottled brown in colour, with long antennae.
Hopefully someone may come up with some images for you to compare your moth against!

What colour is stone anyway? Limestone/sandstone/granite/marble?

Could this be a cockchafer rather than a moth. The reason I am saying this is that I saw my first cockchafer last week and my first impression was a moth. |

I think it could be cockchafer too. Red TV aerial antenna sound a good description for these critters.
