What the heck is this? 
It was on the wall of the house last night, pretty high up so the quality isn't so good. I can't quite figure out what's going on - I'm not even certain it's a moth.
Any help would be appreciated! |

I should say it settled on the wall above where my moth trap was on, so presumably it was attracted to the light. |

I think it is some kind of quite hairy moth which has died, how big was it?

Yeah I would guess at it being a dead hairy moth lying on its right side with the legs pointing towards the camera. Maybe you could knock it down if you wanted a closer look at what species it might be.

You're right - I can see it now. I found it on the ground, looks like it has been spider-lunch. I can't tell what it was - too far gone.
