Moth for ID please

Hi everyone,

I saw this moth in a flower meadow in Dorset Today. It was quite small and I saw it in the morning .... I hope that helps with ID.

It's one of the Pyrausta micromoth species. There are 2 that are very similar, Pyrausta purpuralis and Pyrausta ostrinalis. I wouldn't like to say which though. Someone else may be more able to say for definite.

I would say this is P. ostrinalis based on the wing shape and colouration. As Audrey has said it is very similar to P. purpuralis though.
