wainscott i.d. help please

this wainscot was in the trap...im sure it is a wainscot...though which one? any help is appreciated...thanks

Hi Graham,

Wainscot flying times don't begin till summer, so I think this is more likely to be a Chestnut(?), but it is very worn so it's difficult to tell accurately.

Looks more of a Quaker shape than a Chestnut, but I haven't enough experience to say which of the Orthosia!

i would say common quaker due to the fairly distinct white outer cross line

thanks for that....after i posted i thought it may possibly be a quaker, specially when i checked further the flight seasons....but unsure....obviously the other suggestions are also probably / possibly applicable due to how worn it is....
