Difference between MV bulbs

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between coated MV bulbs and clear MV bulbs is in regards to moth attraction?

I have a friend that swears you have to use a clear bulb to attract the most moths, but most of the traps I have seen on here are using coated MV bulbs, so I was just wondering what the difference is.

I recently bought some UV leds (cannot remember the frequency) but they are for moth traps and make a very transportable kit, or will when I get around to it. Your query ,as far as I know the coating improves or adjusts the lamps frequency

That looks an interesting website for UV LEDs. Does anyone have experience of using these to make a moth light? I would be very interested in trying this, particularly in view of portability as nightshade says.
