Hi,
Taken on 6th June. It looks like a cross between a Silver-ground Carpet and a Wood Carpet!
I have the Silver-ground Carpet but none are this colour even when worn, and that extra large bump near the wing edge doesn't fit but I have come across some pics of supposed Silver-ground Carpets which do have a similar bump.
Can anyone please shed some light on this, I've been everywhere looking.

Looks like Silver-ground Carpet to me, and it appears to be the same colour as the Silver-ground Carpets I photographed last summer: Irish moths - Silver-ground Carpet
I've not come across Wood Carpet yet but the UK Moths photo shows a much darker-brown colour than yours, and a more strongly coloured lower border. |

Thanks Jenny, it's the first dark one with this pattern variation I've had. Obviously they are variable!
