| | | Hummingbird Hawk Moth I was in a T-Mobile shop about a month ago & there was a very large moth hovering about.
It was taking great interest in the bright pink signage but wouldn't stay still long enough to get a proper look at it. Although I could see the colours on the wings & body.
Thanks to 'The One Show' last night, I now know it was a Hummingbird Hawk Moth!
A great one to add to my lifelist this year!

| | | Re: Hummingbird Hawk Moth Well done!
I've not seen one for a couple of years now, but before that I saw them in my parent's garden a couple of times. My parent's had seen one there before - my nephew pointed it out, having just been taught about them at school. |

| | | Re: Hummingbird Hawk Moth I had a few in the garden this year and saw a few more elsewhere, including one in Spain which settled. I'd never seen a still one before then. |

| | Re: Hummingbird Hawk Moth ohhh jealous
Never seen one up close and would very much like to
A picture would be even better
Hope it got out of the shop... I remember a while ago I was in a shop and stopped to watch a peacock butterfly flutter about...
Then it got zapped in the bug zapper
