Argyresthia?

Hi,

It looks like Yponomeutidae, Argyresthia sp. but I can't find it!

Taken on 28th February 2010, any clues?

Its one of the Phyllonorycter species, lots of similar ones, I didnt realise any were on the the wing that early in the year though. Most are around May.

Try Phyllonorycter sp., Gracillariidae - the plant you found it on/near may help.

Thank you Dogg and Jason.

It could be any of three which look so similar! And they all fly in May and August! That makes it a good two months early which is surprising after the hard winter we had.

There's Phyllonorycter blancardella, spinicolella and cerasicolella, anybody's guess. I have all three food plants but this was under the outside light at night.
