| | | Underside of Winter Moth Stony Stratford, Bucks - 15th Nov 2010.
As this is rather an unusual view of this moth I thought some of you might be interested to see these pics.
Photographed as found, in situ on a fence rail. There was no sign of movement and after watching her for a while (and taking a series of focus stack images) I concluded that she was dead - maybe fallen off a branch. After photographing her I popped her in a specimen box and brought her home with me. I'm pleased to report that several hours later she is fully recovered and right-way-up ready to be returned tomorrow morning.
