I missed it because all the books and photos show a very pale moth - are the darker brown ones like mine common? See

I've never seen one brown like this before; all the ones I've seen have been much greyer like the one showed on UK Moths.

Certainly a species that has expanded in recent decades with the abundance of garden cypresses.
