| | | Good numbers in the trap! Last night's trap was a good session for numbers & 2 new species for me again. 
The new one's were:-
Square Spot Rustic 
Agriphila geniculea 
other nice ones that I got pics of were:-
Canary Shouldered Thorn with an Orange Swift

| | | Re: Good numbers in the trap! Pretty good. I trapped Friday night and it wasn't great - just 12 species of macro and 3 micro. Most numerous was Setaceous Hebrew Character. Highlight was an Old Lady |

Saturday night was pretty good conditions for it here.
I use a Heath Trap, which I set up while there's only just enough light left to see. Visitors like the Yellow Shell & some micro's species are usually already bombing around by this point.
I go out & have a look about before I go to bed & anything that's on the fences etc I help into the trap. I'm sure my new neighbours think I'm bonkers & one has already asked what the light is for. I just hope I don't get any complaints! 
Unless we get another spell of good weather, this will probably be the last really good haul of the season. The numbers will start to fall now.
