| | | Four Micro moths (I think!) I think these are micro moths, but any ID's would be welcome. Thanks!
They were found during my first attempt at moth trapping, on Friday night.

The first is Endotricha flammealis and I think the last one may be a worn Agapeta hamana, I'll leave the Crambids to someone else!

| | | Re: Four Micro moths (I think!) Hi, this is what I think, have a look and see if you agree!
1. Endotricha flammealis
2. Wouldn't like to guess but if I had to maybe a worn Chrysoteuchia culmella?
3. Agree with A. tristella
4. Sorry, your guess is as good as mine

| | | Re: Four Micro moths (I think!) Hi Pete,
I'll go with:-
1. Endotricha flammealis
2. Too worn to tell but poss' Chrysoteuchia culmella
3. Agriphila straminella. Markings, wing shape & colour wrong for tristella.
4. Agapeta hamana

| | | Re: Four Micro moths (I think!) I see I'm still not good with the Crambids! I was going to go for straminella but the spots on the wing edges made me change my mind. Give me another few years and I may get there!

I'll definitely try to stick to just identifying the macros (they're quite difficult enough for me!). | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
