| | | Moths and pheromones Hi everyone.
Just a quick question: do all moths use pheromones to attract mates or is it only a few species?
I know that the clearwing moths use this method and a few other species also do.

| | | Re: Moths and pheromones There may be exceptions but I think the majority do, although the extent that they're relied upon probably varies. I would've thought that generally the larger and more 'feathered' a male's antennae are, the more that species relies on pheremones.
