on holiday in france recently and came across some moths....i would guess that there are plenty more species across europe...so any i.d. would be useful if anyone knows....thanks....

first one is an eggar....?
a snout or fan foot of some sort??
the most prolific and most obvious were loads of jersey tigers.... |

| | | Re: french moths I'd go for:
1. Oak Eggar
2. Possibly Lythria purpuraria, although I'm not sure how to separate it from Lythria cruentaria, a beauty whichever it is!
3. Not sure
4. Looks like the European Corn-borer - Ostrinia nubilalis
5. Yellow Shell
The Jersey Tiger is stunning too, I've yet to see one of those.
