Yes, there's a lot around at the moment. I've just got back from Hungary in the last couple of days + plenty there too.

I've never seen these before, I did think at first the "busy" one must be some kind of hawk moth.

The numbers can vary considerably from year to year, but this is definitely a good year for them. Like say Painted Ladies we require immigration each year to see them. Some sites in Norfolk have recorded 100,000 individuals recently, which is quite mind-boggling!
