Unidentified moth from my garden

Hello all!

I'm getting to grips with butterflies, but moths - other than obvious ones - are a complete mystery to me. So here I am for a bit of help.

This little beauty was in our garden in south wales a week or so ago. Nothing really useful for me on the outside to ID it but when it flew it flashed an orange underwing. I never got a good photo or good view of the pattern of color under the wings - nor would it let me get very close.

I hope this photo and description is enough to ID this one, thanks in advance for any help!

Lesser Yellow Underwing?

I'd go for Large Yellow Underwing on the basis of the black dot near the wing tip and general lack of patterning.

lol they both look somewhat like my moth to me, I really see so little difference between. But the large yellow underwing looks best for it - thanks rob and jenny!
