Possibly something along the lines of a Shark or Mullein? Need to see it completely at rest if you still have it.

1 2 Hi Adam, sorry I released it yesterday, these are two more shots, it was about the size of a large yellow underwing, and rested wings up as you see it, cheers Richard.
