Garden Tiger??
I saw a couple of these at the weekend down on the Dorset coast, and I thought they might be Garden Tigers, but after looking at pictures on the internet, I'm sure it isn't ... so what is it? Can anybody help? I'm sure it must be a well-known moth with those striking markings ...

Thanks Jason and Hedera!

I must say I hadn't heard of the Jersey Tiger before. From what I've read, they were only once found on the Channel Islands (hence the name, I presume!) but now are cropping up all over the southern counties and even further north, so that was a nice sighting.
