| | | Different Species to come? I am now in an area of predominantly tall Pine tree's, whereas before it was mainly Oak's around me.
Can anyone tell me if I will see much change in the species I get when I start trapping again?

| | | Re: Different Species to come? Yes you would certainally expect to start trapping more specialist pine species and you will find that the diversity of moth decreases here. |

| | | Re: Different Species to come? Generally, fewer species and fewer numbers. It depends on what the other associated vegetation is like there. If you've got a bit of heathland right next to you at your new place that might bring in some heather specialists too. The bog standards will be around, Heart and Dart etc.

| | | Re: Different Species to come? It'll be a shame to see less when you think I was getting 35/55+ species & between 100/300+ moths.
Would you believe, I was actually making a mental note whilst viewing places wondering what the mothing results would be like.
Only time will tell & it's probably going to be a while yet. We'll see.
