Acronicta?
Hi,

This was from 3rd August 2009. I had it with The Coronet, then Poplar Grey, but it doesn't seem fit either. I did have both of those moths last year.

The marks look closer to the Scarce Dagger to me, but the color doesn't and I imagine it isn't that anyway.

Does anyone know what it is please?

Poplar Grey was what came to my mind initially too with those orbicular stigma.

I've just gone through the Acronicta species on UKMoths, Knot Grass Acronicta rumicis looks a good bet.

The white curved marks near the rear edge of the forewing is mentioned. I think that has to be it, what say thou?
