| | | Re: Eight Moths for ID Please Afternoon Johnny,
The first is a Brown House Moth I believe.
The second and fourth are Crambidae members - sub-families Crambinae and Scoparinae respectively, with 8 being very similar to 4.
6 is a Tortricid, Dichrorampha sp. - but there are similar species so genitalia confirms.
Take care, Jason |

I'd say...
1 = Is definately Brown House Moth
2 = Is almost certainly Chrysoteuchia culmella
3 = Is definately Udea lutealis
4 & 8 = I'd say are Eudonia mercurella
5 = Is definately Phlyctaenia coronata
6 = Not sure
7 = Is definately Yellow Shell
Hope that helps!!
Regards

| | | Re: Eight Moths for ID Please Thanks guys, always good to know what's flying about in my house. Didn't realise that Brown House-moth Hofmannophila pseudospretella was actually introduced from Asia, interesting. Does this species have any detrimental effect on our native one's at tall? |
