There are after all lots and lots of Moth images on line, if you know where to start looking...I haven't really got into moth iD in a big way yet...my friends on Flickr have been very good to me with help that way, but I have been a flower fan for more years than I care to think, have not a few books, and still need help with flower ID to know where to start looking.
Oh and one last word. Beware Google images. That programme will turn up any image that mentions your target words in the script associated with the posting.

| That's the same thing!
There is a website called UK Moths ( UKMoths | Guide to the moths of Great Britain and Ireland) where you can search by colour combinations which I found useful. But without doubt the book by Waring and Townsend is the one to go for.
It can take ages when you start but eventually you can cut it down to 2 or 3 (hundred) species!
