| | | Hummingbird Hawk Moth Hi there,
Thought i'd share a few photos of this beauty which visited my garden today. It made a brief visit a few days ago but I didnt have my camera handy. Today it stayed just long enough for me to fire off a few shots . They're not the best quality pics but in the circumstances i'm pretty pleased with the results.
What a fantastic creature |

| | Re: Hummingbird Hawk Moth Nice one- see yours is taking a fancy to Phlox flowers. I used to get this species almost annually in my garden, but haven't seen one here for 3 years now. Infact I didn't see one anywhere in the UK last or so far this year too.
Just out of interest what part of the country are you in? I know there have been a few reports recently of these crackers. |

| | | Re: Hummingbird Hawk Moth Very well caught, the Lioness claims to have seen one a couple of days ago on Lavender (which is covered daily in small bumblebees)

I'll keep my fingers crossed for finding one this year. |
