6 looks more like a Small fan-footed Wave, and I agree with the two 7's as being Single-dotted Waves.

| | | Re: Moths for ID #1 a worn Shuttle-shaped Dart?
#2 ?
#3 agree
#4 I'd say another White-spotted Pug
#5 might be a worn Wormwood Pug, Eupithecia absinthiata. I had the f. goossensiata on the 18th.

| | | Re: Moths for ID Thanks. I wasn't sure about the White-spotted pug as the photos I compared it to it seemed to have much more well defined white spots. But it does seem to have the white markings, and I guess both pics do.
I reckon Wormwood Pug may be right. It is very worn but it does resemble other pics of it. Good spot! I agree!
Not sure about the Shuttle-shaped Dart though, I can't find any pics which resemble it. I know my pics is very worn which makes thing tricky. Hmmm this one is proving to be very difficult!
Thanks for your help. I wonder if anyone else has any ideas?

| | | Re: Moths for ID Look on UKMoths for the Shuttle-shaped Dart, the markings look correct even if the moth is a different colour. I have had it before but not recently, they can be variable.
Look here at the bottom for a similar pic, the shape is right.

| | | Re: Moths for ID Hmm I do see what you mean. My original google image search showed up lots of pics of Shuttle-shaped Dart which did not really match with colour or patten. But the picture you have on the link you give does look quite a good fit. The problem lies in the fact that my picture is such a worn moth! |

Thankyou! | Personally I'd go for:
1. Turnip
2. Marbled Minor sp. (the 3 similar species can't be reliably separated without dissection!)
3. Common Pug
4. Common Pug

| | | Re: Moths for ID Guy, compare the White-spotted Pug on ukmoths with #3, it's spot on.
