Looking at the white dots on the wings & the semi-circle of dots below those & the scalloped markings near the bottom edge of the wing.

| | | Re: help to id please Thanks Cordaline, It certainly looks like a clay by the markings you mentioned, the bit that puzzles me is the pink tinge, especially bottom edge, is this normal, it is definitely not a trick of the camera, cheers Richard

| | | Re: help to id please Yes, it's a worn Clay. The base colour is quite variable and though the sandy colour is most commonly encountered they can be quite pink.
