| | | Re: Moth I.d. this time please Afternoon Shenk,
I'm not really too into moths so don't really look here usually. Anyway, the beetle is an Oedemera sp. Do you have any additional images? It doesn't seem too conclusive to me as either O. nobilis, or either O. virescens/ lurida which are a more sage-green ( though where I am the usual shining-green nobilis is occasionally showing sage/bronze in the form of wear).
Eitherway it's a girl!
Take care, Jason |

| | | Re: Moth I.d. this time please Sossy Jason ,only other pic is practically the same.I did get another shot from different angle but the combination of wind (not mine),new macro lens (why do you think I'm suddenly trying to id lots of insects ),and my general noviceness made them to blurry to make out
Thanks for looking (more coming soon )

| | | Re: Moth I.d. this time please Blurry or not - it may just help to make the shape of the pronotum a little clearer in my mind EDIT: Looking again (I find going back to an image after ten minutes often helps if I'm having trouble!), I think it's either Oedemera lurida/virescens - nobilis should have deeper ridges on the wing-cases, and their ground colour looks better for sage than worn shing-green would, in my opinion.
Seperation of lurida/virescens is a little tough, and I'd prefer a specimen - males are by genitalia, and females are done by sternites. Relative size of both can also help, but I think up in Barnsley it could be virescens. Just my opinion though!
