Silky Wainscot?

Hi,

One from last year, 8th August which until now I haven't been able to find.

I have found the Silky Wainscot Chilodes maritimus which has a variation looking like this but pics I've seen are not very clear.

Looks good. Very variable with some rather distinct types. Found in reedbeds primarily southeastern.

Thanks Adam, this one is very distinctive in it's markings, quite nice!

It doesn't look quite the right shape to me, I'd go for the Bulrush Wainscot - Nonagria typhae, as you say an attractive moth.

I looked at that when searching through the family list, I too thought it could be a better match.
