| | | Re: ID help for any of these Moths please Thanks very much for those five - now I look them up it is obvious!
I will post again with the remaining ones - will do it in smaller batches next time.
Very amazed to catch 8 Elephant Hawkmoths, 6 Poplar Hawkmoths 3 Privet Hawkmoths and 2 Pine Hawkmoths last night - especially the latter as we are a long way from pine plantations |

| | | Re: ID help for any of these Moths please Sorry folks for the confusion - I should not have attempted so many in one posting - ignore this lot now. I have since posted the remaining unidentified ones and will just do a few at a time for next ID. Maybe I might even only have one or two unidentified next time - have managed just over 100 macro species with help from WAB since I started trapping this year. I am putting them on a blog so I cango back and see what I got last year etc ( Moths in a Cambridgeshire Garden) |

You could do as I have done and simply have one thread of your own for all of your moths to ID. I then post single posts in this thread for the photos I have as I go through them, either to ID them or to just check I am getting them right, as I am new to moths. It saves having multiple threads and also gives you a single thread to check and go back to for reference. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
