| | | Asking for help I caught a few moths in my trap on Saturday that were new to me. I ID'ed a few and was left with a few unknowns. I didn't manage to photograph all the unknown, but got a couple.
1. Is this a Pine carpet?
.
2. This looked wonderfully metallic. The oval and kidney marks were both outlined in silver and the gold marking towards the inside edge of the wings was reflective..
The trap is on a grassy field with Scots Pines and Silver Birch scattered about (a camp site) on the edge of the Caledonian Pine woods at Glenmore, Aviemore. |

| | | Re: Asking for help Agree 1 is Pine Carpet
2 is one of the 2 Gold Spot species + I'm leaning towards Lemke's Gold Spot. |

| | | Re: Asking for help Thanks aeshna5. I don't know why I missed the Gold spots as I had looked at the Silver and Golden Y's and the Golds are close by in the book. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
