Id confirmation - Adult and caterpillar please

Hi, I disturbed this moth whilst walking my butterfly transect back on 17th June. I have tentatively id'd it as the July Belle, but may well be wrong!


This I have guessed at as the Mother of Pearl caterpillar. Found rolled in a nettle leaf...

Hi Jo

I'd say that it was Brown Silver-line,although similar to July Belle,there is a cross line missing on your moth,and also I cannot see the two short diagonal lines coming up from the bottom outside corners of the wings,albeit the light may have burnt out this detail,but I'm sure I'd still see something of it.

Thanks Jason, I knew I'd be wrong, there's just too many of them that look so similar! At least I'll have the correct id to put on my transect notes.
