| | | Re: Wednesday night's trapping (5th) Cordaline, glad you are getting such good results from your trapping, and I agree about the Elephant Hawks... fantastic caterpillars and stunning moths, they look so tropical and as you say, rather unreal, the colours are so amazing! Prominents, I have seen many species of the caterpillars but very few of the moths- but the ones I have seen have been lovely- Pebble prominent in particular..
Please keep posting your results as they are fascinating and also informative, and one day I will finally get around to trapping myself |

| | | Re: Wednesday night's trapping (5th) Yes, keep posting your results Cordaline, it's fascinating to see what you are trapping. Last year I think there was a general thread where lots of people reported the results of their moth trapping.
The elephant hawk moth is spectacular! I've only seen photos, I'd love to see one for real. It looks too exotic to be a moth species found in Britain! |

| | | Re: Wednesday night's trapping (5th) Thanks for the encouragement folks, I will.
I'm loving it.
If it wasn't for trapping, I just wouldn't know there were so many spectacular species in & around the garden!
