Just found one of these in the garden, fairly obliging in the start with letting me photograph it but then it closed it's wings and looks kinda weird lol

I'm a bit confused can i post my own photos i can't see how i can add one?

yes....you can post your own photos no problem...i guess everyone uses their own photos else they would never get anything identified...
its easy to do....

hit the 'new thread' button, on the right of the box, where you write all this stuff, there is a 'library images' button, hit that and you will see 'click here to add photos'....you will need to shrink them, so resize them as small....once you press the 'add photo' logo you will be asked where you want to post them, you will have to post them to the library as Gallery images are ones that are definately identified etc.....click on add to library, you will then be given a window where you can look for your photos on your computer, simply add them in this window, very easy, then hit the upload button, it will say something like preparing to process, it will then present you with another window and in there press the button at the bottom, process....they will then be uploaded, your own library window will open, simply double click on the photo you want to put in your new thread....it will appear as a line of code, but when you pressn submit thread they will appear as photos....any problems....just ask....
