Fen Moth for ID please.

Hi Folks, we`ve just spent 2 hours trying to ID this little fellow.... in vain

Seen on the reeds at Wicken Fen on Sunday. Maybe Pyralid family?
Any help much appreciated, thanks for looking

Hi there...

I think these photos are of some type of Caddisfly, they quite often look like certain moths.

That may explain why we can`t find it in the moth books

I`ll have a look at caddis flies & see what I can come up with,

Thanks Nutmeg, I think it may just be labelled Caddis Fly at least I have the right species then

I`ve looked at the Wicken Fen website & there are over 50 types of Caddis Fly on there

Ta again both for pointing me in the right direction
