Sick Elephant Hawk Moth

Hi everyone....new to this site but hoping someone might be able to provide some information.
We have just had an Elephant Hawk Moth hatch from it's pupa, just a few hours ago. It's hanging on a twig, in a tank, drying out but only has very small upper wings, which seem deformed. The other wings haven't opened (to be honest we can't see any other wings at all!!)and presume won't open now.
Should we try and give it some honey and water or just let nature take its course. It's a very sad day!!

Sadly our moth has died. We were expecting this to be honest but it's still very sad. Poor thing. RIP x.

That's a shame crafty1. Perhaps someone on here might be able to give some pointers as to why your moth turned out like it did.
