| | Jersey Tiger On our trip to Salcombe this year, my bf and I were walking down the road when I saw a very pretty moth on the road. Picked it up and carried it for a while and then placed it in the hedge. He wasn't very well poor thing. Got back to the tent and got out my new moth book to see what he was. Turned out to be a Jersey Tiger Moth, only found in Devon in Britain! And we fount about 3 or 4 that week! Never seen one before in 10 years of going there and was really pleased to find one I know many of you will have seen one and not think much of it, but I was quite chuffed to find one Here's a pic, fuzzy as my camera doesn't do close ups very well, but anyway:
Pretty thing I think xxx

| | | Re: Jersey Tiger Good evening Sarah,
I'm not talking to you now. No sorry, wait a sec - it's found in London too, but has yet to grace me with it's presence
Nice shot, thanks for sharing. Now, I'm not...
Take care, Jason

| | | Re: Jersey Tiger It's been expanding it's range + can certainly be found in parts of London- especially the SE where there is now a large population, also records in Dorset, Hants, Cornwall +I.O.W. Good to see it doing so well. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
