I'm curious to know whether the caterpillar actually smells of goats' giving it, it's name?

| | | Re: Goat Moth - Cossus Cossus? Just back from Dorset where we were lucky enough to see 2 of these magnificent caterpillars heading across a pathway in deep, damp woodland. They really are something to see. They were massive. I'll be putting a shot of one in the Gallery shortly.
