| | | More hornets in my trap. Is there a way of stopping hornets getting in my traps. I've had 3 so far this week and i've got another 2 in the trap already tonight. |

| | | Re: More hornets in my trap. I had a hornet queen in the trap the other night, now that was disturbing - over an inch long. Fortunately it was more interested in the light than the moths. Switched off the light for a while and it left of its own accord. |

| | | Re: More hornets in my trap. I can't see any way of stopping it to be honest - they are always going to be attracted to it. If anyone does know anyway of deterring them it would be interesting.
Thing is, they are beautiful insects after all and I actually like seeing them (especially Hornets) in the traps. They always tend to be rather docile when I go through my traps in the morning (about 8 o'clock) and I've only ever been stung once. I can inagine however that it's a very different story for anyone who is allergic to stings. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
