Jersey tiger Question

I found this today:

on the isle of wight and I think it's a jersey tiger-moth and understand that these are generally confined to Devon within the UK. If it is, then should I report it to the IOW moth recorder (not sure who that is however)?

Yes Jersey tiger, mainly in the south west not just Devon recently there has been colonies established on the Isle of wight.

Jersey Tigers are seen mainly in Devon on the mainland, but there are known to be colonies on the Isle of Wight and in Dorset (see my Insect of the Day!) and also in London.

Ther's also a large population now in SE London that seems to be expanding- people have been some numbers at overground rail stations, shop windows as well as on their Buddleias.

I just added a picture of a JTM.. seen in south east london.. never seen one before.. thought it might
have come with something i recently got from play dot com
