| | | Moth eggs Is it common for moths to lay there eggs in the moth traps?
I set the trap for the first time last night and whilst putting it away i noticed two patches of eggs.
I dont suppose there is any way of removing the eggs without killing them as they are on the side and lid or the trap. |

| | | Re: Moth eggs It is very common. In fact when I jar specimens for photography, or ID purposes, I get eggs left in them quite often.

It's easier if they lay the eggs on the egg boxes ( ), but you can always sellotape a pot over them and check on them every now and then and release them, or if you leave your trap in a garden shed the caterpillars will find their own way out. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
