2 cant find this one....

How big was the second in comparison to the first?
I think the third is a Heart and Club - they are much more common in southern UK and by the coast (are you near the coast or calcareous soils?) - whereas Heart and Dart are common pretty much everywhere. |

they were about the same size
i live in hastings, and as the crow flies im about a three quarters of a mile inland perhaps...though i dont seem to have caught that many heart and club....mostly heart and dart.....

| | | re: still stuck for moth i.d. Yeah, there's no doubt H&D are far more common, but in Hastings you probably have as good a chance as any of catching a H&C going by location - still I could be wrong with that ID!
