Moth for ID please

I am curious to know what this moth is, it is currently on the house wall, please could anyone identify it.

Hi Columbine, I believe its the Grey dagger or Dark dagger moth, try google and see if you can get a possitive ID.

You won't be able to get a reliable positive ID from Google as the differences between Grey and Dark Dagger are in the genitalia.

Many thanks for your replies, it certainly suits it's name. I'll settle for grey/dk grey dagger as my eyesight's not quite THAT good! I love the image of someone else inspecting moth's genitalia for ID though!
