Alder moth?

I have tried to I.D. this moth. I think it is an Alder moth.



What do you think/know?

I think it's a Grey/Dark Dagger, Acronicta psi/tridens - markings don't look right for Alder Moth.

Now I am thinking it is a dagger moth. Couldn't find many pictures to compare with.
Here is another photo of the same moth.



Is it possible to say whether it is a Dark dagger or grey dagger?

Only certainly by dissection as they are variable and overlap.
