moth i.d. help please

hello
havent been on here for a while....tried trapping in my garden in april and early may withoout any success....now in to june and have a few 'problem' moths.....if you can help in any way its appreciated....so many thanks in advance....graham

1. is this a scalloped hazel?

2. is this a vines rusttic?

3. is this a brindle of some sort, or a dogs tooth??

4. same as 3 i think....but a slightly different colour?

5. some sort of pug?

6. i remember reading on here somewhere recently about moths that look like bird droppings, and then the next day this turned up...a micro of some sort..?

7. could be another sort of brindle or clouded?

8. i was told this was a garden pebble?...but i cant find it in my book...is it a micro??....is it a garden pebble??

9 & 10 i think these are common marbled carpets?

Here are my thoughts:
1. agree with Scalloped Hazel
2. agree with Vine's Rustic, although I find that group very tricky
3 & 4. Light Brocade - Lacanobia w-latinum
5. It is a pug of some kind, although it looks quite faded so I'm not sure about the id.
6. Not sure
7. Shears - Hada plebeja
8. agree with Garden Pebble, and as you say they are micros
9 & 10. agree with Common Marbled Carpet

The Light Brocade looks very nice, I'd love to catch one someday!

No. 6 is one of the Tortricidae.

UKMoths is an excellent website for sorting out out your micros. Takes a bit of time initially, but after a whiile if you can remember where they are in relation to one another it gets easier to rule out many species before you start searching.

Number 6 is either Epiblema incarnatana, E. roborana, E. rosaecolana or E. trimaculana.
