Let me come at this Skinner debate from another angle (no shades in sight).
Take a persian cat...you can all spot one...flat faced and a massive ball of fluff/fur. If you bought a book on identifying different types of persian cat you would expect them all to look like that. However...bring out a book of persian cats that have fallen in the garden pond and are all soaking wet which is NOT the natural or normal way in which you see them...and then try to find your 'ball of fluff' pet among the pics of 'drowned moggys' would be extremely hard....am i right or am i right?
