Moth ID Help Please

Hi everyone

I've taken some photos of 2 Moths I've found in my house recently, but try as I might, I am unable to find what they are called.

If anyone can tell me what these Moths are called (no, I don't mean Percy and Norbert!

), it would be much appreciated.

Not sure about the 1st, it looks like a micro and it's very tatty! I'd say the second is a Square-spot Rustic.

Hi, The forst is " possibly" Agriphila geniculea, but its to knackered to ever be sure, and SSR as the previous post suggested. Steve

I'd agree with that too!

If I had to go out with a bang, then I'd be happy to look as shattered as the 1st one!!!

I would go with Agriphila geniculea and SSR also.

After looking at other photos of Agriphila geniculea, I realise how knackered and tatty my one is looking!
