Or did you mean the white thing? Looks like a moth to me but very difficult to correctly ID as it is well overexposed. A distinctive snout but can you remember anything else about it? Exact colour and wing markings etc.
You could have a browse through the Moth Identification Guide and see if you can find anything that matches. Or perhaps a real moth expert will come along soon and make a suggestion based on shape and approx colour.
ps. for future reference, always use some exposure compensation to underexpose a white subject on a darker background, about 1 notch should be enough. |

| | | Re: Another moth id please Hi Richard, it looks like a Micro moth to me. I would have a guess at one of the Pyralidae family and maybe one of the Pyraustinae. But that's as far as I can go .
Anyway welcome to WAB . |

| | | Re: Another moth id please I saw this yesterday without the opportunity to reply. I think it may be Four-dotted Footman by white wings, shape and orange head detailing. |

it's an over-exposed Pyralid but which one would just be a guess!

| | | Re: Another moth id please I agree Wildlifesnapper!
The wing shape is distinctive but I'm not sure about spp.
It is definitely overexposed!
Maybe someone more experienced will be along soon, where are you David?

| | | Re: Another moth id please As stated it is of the Pyralidae family and very likely one of the Crambinae sub-family. Something like Chrysoteuchia culmella or similar.
Cheers,
Adam
